Jody Guest grew up in Fair Oaks, California. After graduating high school, she moved to Germany where she attended classes, traveled, learned the language and experienced architecture and history.
Upon returning from Germany, Jody went to college to pursue a business and communications degree in Santa Barbara, then transferred to CSU Sacramento.
She married in 1994 and moved back to Germany. While living in Europe Jody’s interest in structure and building design grew. After 3 years in Germany, a year in Canada, and three years in England, she and her family moved back to Fair Oaks. Jody went back to school to learn CADD (Computer Aided Drafting and Design). She discovered she had an aptitude and a passion for conceptual design and construction. Jody began working at KCS Design with her mother, Kathy Sabbagh, in 2001. She took over the company in 2005.
Jody has an aptitude for project management. She develops project itineraries that are thoughtfully planned, detailed, organized, and well documented.
Kathy Sabbagh was raised and educated in the Mid-West. This fostered a sense of design that is timeless and functional. Her core value is that a home should feel harmonious and improve the way we live. Kathy graduated from the University of Missouri after studying communication, design and literature. She was raised in a construction and lumber family, which shaped her respect for buildings and structure, as well as her excellent design skills.
Kathy’s greatest asset is her ability to listen and ask the right questions. She has traveled widely in the USA and Europe, and has a passion for gardens and beautiful buildings. She is currently studying art to continue mastering the principals of color.
She has designed and built projects throughout California and the Mid-West.
Kathy uses her experiences to infuse each project with originality, function, and timeless beauty.
